ABOUT ED LITVAK: Writer and journalist skilled at delivering compelling and impactful web, print and multimedia stories. For the past eight years, I have been on the front lines of hyperlocal news on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The publication I co-founded, The Lo-Down, specializes in high quality reporting of important community issues. For a four-year period, The Lo-Down produced a popular monthly magazine, which I wrote and edited. I am adept at covering breaking news, writing feature stories and delivering web content on extremely tight deadlines.
For more than 12 years, I served an an executive producer and senior-level producer at NBC News and CNN. I was responsible for leading programs and news coverage, overseeing live television broadcasts and managing large production staffs. I began my career as a television and radio news producer in Lubbock, Texas and Denver, Colorado.
Along with my partner, Traven Rice, I founded Lo-Down Productions, a company that provides content to not-for-profit websites and produces video stories. Lo-Down Productions offers consulting services to organizations and companies looking to develop effective media strategies.
